Infant Wellness
Supported Start Sessions
Your baby has a story. It began before birth, through the prenatal period, through labor and delivery, and into those first tender days and weeks. Supported Start sessions are designed to listen to that story, respect what your baby is communicating, and support their development from the very beginning.
As a pediatric physical therapist with training in birth psychology, infant body language, craniosacral work, myofascial release, and nervous system support, I bring a uniquely integrated lens to every session. I am not looking for what is wrong with your baby. I am listening to what their body is telling me and supporting their natural unfolding.
What to expect: The Supported Start Assessment is your first visit and is 90 minutes. We will take time to hear your pregnancy and birth story, observe your baby, and explore what their body is communicating through movement, tension patterns, and reflexes. From there we build a plan together that honors your baby's needs and your family's goals.
Supported Start Sessions are 60 minutes and are tailored to where your baby is at each visit. No two sessions look the same because no two babies are the same.
We address
- Tension patterns and tightness in the body
- Head turning preferences and asymmetries
- Feeding challenges related to body tension or movement patterns
- Developmental skills and play support
- Co-regulation and attunement between parent and baby
- Birth imprints and early medical experiences
- Reflexes and how they are integrating
Who this is for: Supported Start sessions are for any baby from birth through the first year and beyond. You do not need a diagnosis or a referral. If something feels off, or if you simply want to give your baby the most supported start possible, you are in the right place.
Format: Available in-home, at our clinic locations, or virtually. The Assessment is recommended as the first visit for all new clients. Sessions can be scheduled individually or as part of a package.
Preconception & Prenatal
Baby Prep Sessions
The prenatal period is one of the most powerful windows of opportunity we have. Long before your baby arrives, you can begin preparing. Not just your home and your hospital bag, but your body, your nervous system, and your relationship with your baby.
Baby Prep sessions are personalized prenatal sessions designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to support your baby's development from day one. We know that what happens in those early weeks and months matters deeply, and the more prepared you are, the more naturally you can support your baby's growth without adding stress to your already full plate.
What we cover
- Bonding and connection before and after birth
- Your baby's nervous system and how it develops
- Infant communication and reading your baby's cues
- Developmental sequences and what to expect in the first months
- Tummy time — why it matters and how to make it enjoyable
- Flat head (plagiocephaly) prevention
- Positions for play
- Infant reflexes and what they tell us
- Setting up supportive spaces for sleeping, feeding, and play
- Carrying, holding, and movement — what babies need and why
- Registry items and baby equipment you don't need
- Car seat education and installation upon request
Who this is for: Expectant parents at any stage of pregnancy. Whether you are a first-time parent or adding to your family, there is always something new to learn and space to prepare more intentionally.
Format: Available in-home, at our clinic locations, or virtually. Sessions can be scheduled individually or as part of a package with Supported Start.

For Mothers
Unwind Sessions
You were a baby once too. Your nervous system was shaped by your earliest experiences, including those that happened before you were born. The patterns you carry in your body — the ways you brace, guard, or disconnect — made sense at some point. They were survival strategies. But they don't have to stay.
Unwind sessions are individualized sessions designed to help your body release what it has been holding. Drawing on birth psychology, craniosacral work, myofascial release, and Reiki, each session is tailored to what your body needs in that moment. There is no protocol. There is no agenda. We follow your body's lead.
What to expect: Sessions are 60 minutes and blend hands-on bodywork with nervous system support and birth psychology-informed conversation as needed. Some sessions are quiet and deeply somatic. Others involve more dialogue. We go at your pace.
Especially supportive during
- Preconception, as you prepare your body and nervous system for pregnancy
- Pregnancy, to support your own regulation and your growing connection with your baby
- The postpartum period, as you recover, adjust, and find yourself again
- Any season of life when your body is asking for support
Who this is for: Unwind sessions are available to any woman at any stage of life. You do not need to be pregnant or postpartum. If your body is carrying more than it should have to, you are welcome here.
Format: Available in-home or at our clinic locations, with different pricing for each. Virtual sessions are available for nervous system support and birth psychology-informed conversation when hands-on work is not possible.

Co-Regulation
Mother + Baby Unwind
A baby's nervous system does not exist in isolation. From the very beginning, your baby has been learning about the world through you. Your heartbeat, your breath, your voice, your touch. Co-regulation is not a technique — it is the oldest language there is. When you are regulated, your baby can be regulated. When you are present, your baby can feel safe.
Mother + Baby Unwind sessions support both of you together. Rather than separating the mother's experience from the baby's, we honor the relationship between them as the foundation of everything. If a mother is carrying stress, tension, or dysregulation in her body, her baby feels it. This session creates space for both nervous systems to unwind, connect, and find ease together.
What to expect: Sessions are led by your needs and your baby's cues in the moment. I may spend time with your baby, with you, or supporting you both simultaneously. We follow what is being asked for rather than a fixed structure. Conversation, gentle bodywork, and somatic support are all woven in as needed.
Especially helpful when
- Your baby is unsettled and you are too
- You are struggling to feel connected to your baby
- You and your baby are working through a difficult birth experience together
- You want support in learning to read and respond to your baby's cues
- You are navigating the transition into motherhood and need both you and your baby held
Who this is for: Mother + Baby Unwind sessions are for mothers and babies at any stage of the early postpartum period and beyond. There is no minimum or maximum age. If the relationship between you and your baby needs support, this session is for you.
Format: Available in-home or at our clinic locations, with different pricing for each.
Targeted Support
Pediatric Physical Therapy
Sometimes a baby or child needs more targeted support. When there is a known diagnosis or condition affecting movement, development, or function, pediatric physical therapy provides a structured evaluation and treatment framework to address those needs directly.
At LRS Beginnings, PT evaluations and treatment are delivered with the same philosophy that guides all of our work. We listen to what the child's body is communicating, we respect their pace and their experience, and we support their development with skill and care. A diagnosis does not define your child. It gives us a starting point.
What to expect: A PT Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of your child's movement, strength, posture, reflexes, and developmental skills. From the evaluation we build an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child's specific needs and your family's goals.
PT Treatment Sessions are 60 minutes and progress according to your child's response and development. We work closely with families to carry the work into daily life through home programs and education.
We work with children experiencing
- Torticollis and neck tightness
- Plagiocephaly and head shape concerns
- Gross motor delays
- Hypotonia or low muscle tone
- Coordination and movement challenges
- Developmental differences affecting movement and function
Insurance and Billing: LRS Beginnings is a cash pay practice. Superbills are provided for all PT services, which you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to understand your out-of-network benefits.
Who this is for: Pediatric PT services are available for children from birth through adolescence. A physician referral is not required to begin, though some insurance providers may require one for reimbursement purposes.
Format: PT evaluations and treatment sessions are available in-home or at our clinic locations.

Common Questions
What families most often ask before booking.
Do I need a prescription or referral to work with you?
No. You do not need a prescription, referral, or diagnosis to book any of our services. If something feels off, or if you simply want to give your baby the most supported start possible, you are welcome to reach out directly.
What does a session actually look like?
Every session is unique and unfolds according to what your baby and your family need in that moment. There is no fixed protocol. We follow your baby's cues, your questions, and what the body is communicating. Sessions may include gentle hands-on bodywork, movement, observation, parent education, and conversation, often all woven together.
When is the best time to schedule a session?
Whatever works best for your day and your family's rhythms and routines. Ideally your baby will be awake and interactive, but that is not required. We will follow your baby's cues. They are welcome to feed, sleep, play, or cry during the session. Crying is communication and all communication is welcome. We will support your baby in getting their needs met.
How long before we see results?
Every baby and every family is different, and there is no single answer. Some families notice shifts within a session or two. Others find that change unfolds gradually over time. We will always be honest with you about what we are observing and what we recommend. Our goal is never to keep you coming indefinitely. It is to support your baby in finding ease and then equip your family to carry that forward.
What are Unwind sessions and are they really for me?
Unwind sessions are for any woman at any stage of life, not just those who are pregnant or postpartum. You do not need a specific reason or a clinical problem to come. If your body is carrying tension, stress, or patterns that feel stuck, you are welcome. These sessions draw on birth psychology, craniosacral work, myofascial release, and Reiki to support your nervous system in releasing what it has been holding. You deserve care too.
